You can find out about all our current events and storytelling shows through our What's On Page. More events will be added as soon as they are confirmed.
Here are a few tips to help you, but if you have any questions about booking, please don’t hesitate to contact our Box Office team.
Following the Prime Minister’s confirmation that social distancing will no longer apply to theatre performances, we are increasing the number of tickets available for shows taking place on or after 19 July. We will continue to follow UK Theatre's recommendations for best practice to ensure the safety of our audiences at this time under the See-it-Safely kitemark. We will continue to provide hand sanitiser stations and encourage visitors to wear face masks when visiting indoor spaces such as the toilets. We will monitor our protocols in accordance with future government advice.
Track and Trace
In accordance with new Track and Trace rules, we are required to record the contact details of every adult member of your party when you visit the Minack or attend a performance. When you arrive, we’ll ask you to scan the track and trace app at the theatre entrance. If you don’t have the app, you’ll need to give your name and phone number. This information will not be used for any purpose other than the government’s Track and Trace programme. After 21 days, it will be destroyed.
Theatre events: Ticket prices vary depending on the performance and where you choose to sit. For most events, children under the age of 16 are half price.
If a show is marked as Sold Out there are no more tickets available. We do not hold waiting lists for tickets.
Where do I sit?
The Minack is not like other theatres. Our seating is on either grass or concrete terraces. Where the performance staging permits, a few tickets are released for members of the audience to sit on the stage. This is a flat, concrete area. Padded backrest cushions will be provided, but be aware that this area may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
Our auditorium is very steep and there are a lot of steps. If you are unsure about where to sit, please phone us and we’ll be happy to help.
We have an accessible balcony for those with limited mobility. If you have other seating requirements, please phone us to discuss your needs.
An induction loop is provided on the grass lower terraces and in the accessible balcony.
If you have booked for a performance as a group which includes more than one household, it is helpful if you all arrive together so that we can seat you adjacent to each other (with social distancing between the households).
If this is your first visit to the Minack, take a look at our handy tips for your visit, they’ll help you to be prepared!
The first time you book with us online, you will need to set up an account.
Don’t worry, it’s very straightforward – just your contact details and a password. Then any future tickets you buy, you can log straight in and won’t need to input your details again. You can also check your orders and amend your information, easily.
For your comfort and safety all our performances will be relaxed. If you do leave your seat during the performance, we ask you to cover your face as you may briefly pass near to other audience members.
Minack padded seats will not be available to hire for performances, but you are welcome to bring your own cushion.
We are currently experiences difficulties obtaining catering supplies, causing frequent shortages of popular items. Demand on our food and drink service is very high and to avoid disappointment, we remind customers that they are welcome to bring their own food and drink to consume on the premises.
